About Us
Welcome to the Black Lion Swimming Club. We are the top club within Medway, and are constantly well ranked in Kent. Our swimmers achieve success both at District and National level. We have swimmers of all ages and abilities, with a full learn-to-swim programme, through our squads, and into our Masters section.
We are a progressive, competitive club, who are fortunate to be able to employ a full time Head Coach, Mark Hays, and an Assistant Coach, Steve Nickalls to oversee our squad swimmers. (Please click on either name to download CVs and view our coaches calibre of coaching skills).
Our ultimate aim is for all of our swimmers to achieve their full potential, and with the elite swimmers having access to 16 hours of training time incorporating both pool and land based training per week with a team of dedicated coaches and assistants, every aspect of a swimmer's well-being is catered for.
INTERESTED IN TRIALLING?
Black Lion Swimming Club is always on the lookout for new talent. Ideally, children under 8 years should have skills in 3 strokes and 9 years and over, all 4 strokes. Adults are also welcome to trial our Masters Squad. (If you have children wanting to get into swimming, please visit the ‘learn to swim’ section).
